Start with the puck just behind the middle of your stance.
Be at right-angle to the net (your body doesn't face it).
Bend your knees by flexing at your ankles.
Place your weight on your back foot.
Tilt your head so that you can see both the puck and the net.
Position your bottom hand so that it is above the middle of the shaft of your stick.

2

As you sweep the puck forward:
Keep your head tilted so that you can see both the puck and the net.
Start to slide your bottom hand down the shaft of your stick a little.
Start to shift your weight from your back foot to your front foot.

4

Just before the puck leaves your stick:
Lift your chin and look directly at your target.
Slide your bottom hand down to the middle of the shaft of your stick.
Place all your weight on your front foot.
Bend your knees a little more so that you use your legs to spring into the shot.

6

Continue to look directly at your target.
Finish the shot by pointing the blade of your stick directly at your target.
Notice that your bottom hand ends up at the middle of the shaft of your stick.
